Pharmacy Technician Training Program

A pharmacy technician is an employee who works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Together they ensure the health and safety of pharmacy patients. Responsibilities include locating, dispensing, packing, and labeling medications prescribed for patients. Accuracy is critical as patients rely on the pharmacy team to give them correct medications, dosage amounts, and information about potential side effects. Additionally, technicians support the pharmacy through administrative tasks such as inventory management, insurance claim processing, and regulatory paperwork. Without pharmacy technicians, pharmacies would not operate as safely or efficiently, and ultimately patients would suffer.

• Students must be 18 years of age or older to register for our Pharmacy Technician Training program.
• Students must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent at registration.
• No previous medical experience is required.

You can make an online payment via your student account, which gets set up through the registration process. Or, you can call one of our Student Services team members and pay over the phone. We accept credit and debit card payments.

There is no clinical externship required for this course. We offer a virtual externship at the end of the course that gives students simulated pharmacy experience. Our externship reinforces learning with interactive tasks that are part of a pharmacy technician’s daily routine.

Intelvio’s Pharmacy Technician Training program is unique! We offer students a fully remote, self-paced learning experience that is affordable. You have 180 days (approximately six months) from the date you sign the enrollment agreement to complete the course. That means you can finish the 120-hour course in as little as a few weeks or as long as six months. You choose!

Our learning modules contain engaging lessons that have been prepared by leading experts in the field of pharmacy. These modules will teach you everything you need to know to pass the national certification exam to become a certified pharmacy technician (CPhT). After passing the national certification exam, you will apply to your state board of pharmacy for a license/registration to work as a certified pharmacy technician in your state.

• Intelvio’s tuition fee for this course covers all material costs, including your national certification exam fee. Keep in mind that there will be a minimal fee you will have to pay to your state to obtain your licensure/registration.

Most importantly, we want you to know that you are not alone. We have a dedicated Student Services support team onsite to help you six days a week. Our pharmacy team is available to answer questions about learning modules and to tutor you if you are struggling with an educational concept. If you haven’t progressed in the course for 30 days, we will reach out to see how we can assist you with coursework. Plus, we also help you polish your resume for professionalism and industry buzzwords to help you be even more employable.

Finally, we consider you a student for life. That means that after you complete the course, you can always access the pharmacy technician training material in read-only mode for as long as you want.
